Hello dear readers! Here I am again with a delicious, easy to make, cheap and nutritious recipe. Honestly, this is my go-to recipe as the ingredients are very basic and can be found in most homes.
If you are a vegan, you may also love this recipe. It is rich in plant protein and fibre – veggies.
I usually serve it with rice, bulgur or quinoa.
Once you make a batch, you can keep it in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Ingredients:
- 750 grams frozen green beens
- 400 grams canned chickpeas
- 400 grams canned chopped tomatoes
- 1 medium-sized onion
- 2 small-sized carrots
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- Olive oil (to sauté onion and garlic)
- Spices – salt, pepper and turmeric
- Half a glass of drinking water
Method:
We need a pot with a lid for this recipe. This is to shorten the cooking time.
Start by chopping the carrots, onion and garlic cloves. How you chop them and the size of the chopped pieces is entirely up to you.
Sauté chopped onion and garlic by olive oil until they soften. Then, add carrots and continue sautéing.
Add frozen green beans, and also sauté them gently as well.
Chickpeas, chopped tomatoes, spices and water then to be added and combined well with the rest of the ingredients.
Then, close the lid of the pot and let it cook for 20-30 minutes.
Enjoy!
